It totally depends on the person. I think it will be a bit more difficult for you and it might take you longer since you're studying by yourself. I don't suggest this. It's better to take a class or find someone who speaks English so you can get the pronunciation correct, which is key.

There are crash courses, and longer duration courses. It would depend on which one you are taking.

It also depends on the reason you want to know the language.

For eg, if you think a basic knowledge would meet your needs, then there are crash courses of short durations as well.

By speaking English you will enter in a different culture with different civilization. It has been proved that cultural immersion is the fastest and most effective way to learn a new foreign language. When learning English it is highly suggested to spend at least a few minutes studying every day. Language isn’t just a matter of memorization; it has to do with the way you think. You may have heard people talk about the concept of “thinking” in a language – this refers to the way that you formulate sentences in your head. Confident and fluent Indonesian speakers are able to make sentences in their head in Indonesian, rather than translating what they want to say from their native language.

Language learning depends mostly on three factors, the attitude of the learner, the time available, and learner’s attentiveness to the language. If we assume a positive attitude on the part of the learner, and a reasonable and growing attentiveness to the language, and even a method that cultivates the learner’s attentiveness.
